Počátek brumovské kopané se váže k datu 29. září 1941. V tento den
se
v hotelu Cóbl pořádal společenský večer, kde mladí sportovci založili
fotbalový klub SK Brumov. Přesto že byl klub založen v hospodě, další
činnost se provozovala už jen na hřišti. Nejčastěji se hrálo na Ohradě
v ulici Rozkvět, směrem na Návojnou. V roce 1963 byla započata výstavba
nového hřiště se šatnami a rok poté se konalo slavnostní otevření. Povrch
nově vybudovaného hřiště byl pouze jen škvárový, přesto se na něm hrálo
dalších 36 let. V letech 1985 - 1989 byl vybudován stávající stadión.
Co se týká úrovně a sportovní výkonnosti, se brumovský fotbal pohyboval
v rozmezí okresních soutěží a 1.A třídy. V 70. letech se projevila dobrá
práce s mládeží i dospělými. V roce 1972 odešli dva brumovští odchovanci
z
1.A třídy, Josef Lysáček a Milan Ptáček, zkusit prvoligový fotbal do
Zbrojovky Brno. Dorostenecké mužstvo postoupilo do krajské soutěže.
1975 - 76 V tomto ročníku hráli muži pouze okresní přebor,
x který vyhrávají a vrací se zpět do I.B třídy.
1976 - 77 I.B třída, tento ročník taktéž vyhráli a postoupili do I.A třídy
1977 - 78 I.A třída, opět vítězství v soutěži a postup do krajského
x přeboru.
1978 - 79 Účastník krajského přeboru.
1979 - 80 Účastník krajského přeboru, bohužel mužstvo sestupuje
x o třídu níž.
1980 - 81 I.A třída
1981 - 82 I.A třída
1982 - 83 I.A třída, postup do krajského přeboru.
vzestup brumovské kopané
Po reorganizaci hráli brumovští fotbalisté župní přebor a to až do ročníku
1995 - 96,
který vyhráli a postoupili do divize. Vzestup brumovské kopané nastal
až na přelomu roku, kdy do ní se svými podnikatelskými aktivitami
vstoupila firma ELSEREMO, a s ní brumovský rodák Pavel Kozubík. Jako
nováček soutěže jsme si v sezóně 1996 - 97 vedli velmi dobře a skončili druzí. V následujícím ročníku 1997 - 98 se opět nepodařilo zvítězit, a to
jen díky horšímu brankovému rozdílu ve vzájemných zápasech s Dolními Kounicemi. V další sezóně 1998 - 1999 si už naši fotbalisté vítězství ujít nenechali a postoupili do MSFL.
1999 - 00 Účastník MSFL, úroveň hry byla dosti vysoká, hráči s ligovými
x zkušenostmi lákali do ochozů spousty diváků, nic neobvyklého
x nebyli návštěvy přes 1000 lidí.
2000 - 01 Účastník MSFL, sestup do divize, kde hraje brumovský tým
x dodnes.
a co mládežnická kopaná?
Začátkem 80. let se začal klást důraz na výchovu mládeže. Starší žáciv roce 1983 postoupili do krajského přeboru a tuto žákovskou soutěž hrají
doposud. V roce 1993 se jim dokonce podařilo postoupit až do 1. MSLŽ.
Dorost již řadu let hraje divizi.
V roce 1995 byl brumovský klub pověřen pořádáním mistrovství republiky
mladších a starších žáků - Kouba Cupu. Na našem hřišti za svá mužstva hráli například Baroš, Hübsman, Plašil, Besta nebo Čech. O deset let
později, v roce 2005, se u nás konalo finále mistrovství republiky starších žáků znovu.
